Carl Daufer named as Philanthropist of the Year 2016
Operations Manager for Asset Finance receives award
Carl Daufer, Operations Manager for Leasing at Bibby Financial Services (BFS), has been awarded the Philanthropist of the Year Award by Leasing Foundation, an organisation that supports the leasing and asset finance industry through intensive research, people development and charitable motives.
The prestigious award recognises individuals that provide exceptional support for good causes throughout the duration of 2016, eligible for those that display selflessness through fundraising, volunteering and corporate support involvement.
Celebrating his 15-year anniversary with Bibby Leasing in February, Carl has dedicated his entire career to the leasing industry, having joined the company directly after he’d finished education. His professional career has gone from strength-to-strength and he was previously awarded the Outstanding Future Leader award from Leasing Foundation in 2015. Carl’s determination and hard work was also recognised by BFS, where he received the Outstanding Contribution to Commercial Excellence award in 2015.
Carl has been recognised for his contribution to charitable causes such as The Prince’s Trust, where he participated in the Million Makers challenge and raised over £14,000 for the charity through a successful golf day.
His general positive attitude towards fundraising and need to ‘give back’ has led for his efforts to be covered by Sky News, where a combined local effort to celebrate the Queen’s birthday and raise money for his village’s Christmas lights had made it to TV screens nationwide. The event was a resounding success and enough money was raised, including a further amount towards the following year. Carl embodies the spirit of giving and community and his charitable success stories are evident of that.
With the gift of giving embedded in his DNA and his Philanthropist of the Year award as an ode to his achievements, Carl will undoubtedly continue to channel his efforts into giving back for both professional and personal endeavours.
