Bibby Financial Services 'Giving Something Back'

Our “Giving Something Back” programme, established in 2007, is a unique initiative which underpins our values and aims to harness the passion of our people, supporting them to fundraise or volunteer for the charities they choose.

The Giving Something Back Programme includes a Central Events Programme, Employees Fundraising and Charity Partnerships.  The charities are chosen by the employees and by local teams.  Charities supported include national charities such as Macmillan Cancer, the British Heart Foundation and local ones such as Manchester Mind and West Yorkshire Forget Me Not.

The programme continues to see our teams take part in a variety of activities in their efforts to support their local communities and those who are less advantaged.  From walking the Great Wall of China, climbing Ben Nevis or volunteering for an Action Aid programme to build homes for families in Nepal who have been freed from a life of bonded labour and left with the most basic of shelter, the passion and enthusiasm displayed by our teams to give something back to their communities never ceases to amaze.

An annual “Champions Day” event brings local business together to raise money for local registered charities.

Since our Bicentenary year (2007), our people have donated more than £8.4 million to over 1,000 charitable causes. These causes are those closest to our employees and their families, as we believe 'what is important to them as individuals is what is important to us as a business.'
