Bibby opens new Brentwood Business Centre

SME funder identifies area as hotspot for SMEs

The UK’s largest independent invoice finance provider, Bibby Financial Services (BFS), has announced the opening of its North London Business Centre in Brentwood.

The opening of the new office at Jubilee House forms part of the funder’s growth strategy, announced on 30 March.

Chief Executive of Bibby Financial Services, David Postings, said that Brentwood is a key location for the business: “We’re delighted to announce the opening of our North London Business Centre.

“Brentwood is an ideal place for our new office as it has a thriving business community and excellent infrastructure links to other parts of the South East and beyond.”

Mr Postings added: “Our business model is based on local decision-making and flexibility, ensuring that we provide a personalised service to each of our customers. Over recent years we have grown significantly and our presence in Brentwood will undoubtedly offer us further opportunities to grow in the years to come.”

In addition to the new office in Brentwood, the funder proposes to open a local business centre in Redhill, Surrey, as well as relocating its Central London office from Aldersgate to The Baltic Exchange, St Mary Axe (The Gherkin).

Mr Postings said: “These proposals would help us to support a larger number of SMEs in the South East and increase the vital funding we provide to UK businesses.

“We want to be the independent SME funder of choice and this means ensuring that we’re in the right locations to support businesses and the advisers they work with.”

Formed in 1982, Bibby Financial Services has 19 local offices across the UK and is part of the Liverpool-based Bibby Line Group, a 200-year-old business services company. It handles annual turnover of £5bn on behalf of its 7,000 SME clients, and provides more than £413m in funding to businesses in the UK.
