Ben Smith, UK Corporate Sales Director, said: “In recent years, we have significantly developed our corporate funding capability to include Stock Finance, Foreign Exchange and Asset Finance. This has enabled us to write a greater volume of, and more sizeable Asset Based Lending (ABL) deals, unlocking working capital to help businesses grow in both domestic and international markets. Supporting businesses with turnover of £5m to £100m, our corporate team has structured more than 600 deals across the UK since 2013.”

Ben joined Bibby Financial Services 8 years ago with extensive experience of working with owner-managed businesses of all sizes through to larger PE backed corporate entities – funding growth, acquisition and turnaround. Recently promoted to the position of UK Corporate Sales Director, Ben currently leads the team responsible for completing transactions between £1 million - £10 million.

Dan Burton

Dan has worked in the invoice finance industry for 10 years and has experience with high growth, leveraged buyout, restructuring, turnaround and trade finance. Dan heads up our corporate sales function for the Northern Region, helping structure suitable funding solutions for businesses with turnover from £5m to £150m. We have an experienced deal team within our Northern Corporate office, who consistently delivers structured finance in the corporate funding space.

Chris Farnworth

Chris has been involved in the invoice finance industry for seven years, in a number of transactions within the Mergers and Aquisitions and turnaround/restructuring market. Chris operates across a number of sectors implementing ABL facilities of up to £15m, with a particular specialism in Trade Finance where he is able to understand complex trade cycles and deliver structured funding solutions. He is responsible for structuring lending facilities for new Corporate clients, across receivables, trade, asset and stock finance, whether they are growth clients, clients in distress or clients in turnaround.

Luke Fitzsimmons

Luke originally joined BFS’s graduate programme and spent 2 years in operations along with a year long secondment to our shipping business. He is now part of the corporate new business team helping to structure facilities and guide clients through joining Bibby Financial Services. Luke has excellent UK Finance (ABFA) qualifications and has experience of a broad spectrum of sectors and facilities with particular expertise in turnaround scenarios and Mergers and Acquisitions.

David joined the Bibby Group in 2014, in our construction finance business before transferring to the corporate team. David has significant experience in a variety of commercial and leadership roles. He has a wide range of sector experience, in many aspects of funding businesses, and has been involved in asset finance, motor finance, contract hire and vehicle leasing, real estate and investment property, as well as a number of relationship and new business development roles across a wide cross section of SMEs and Corporate clients.

Sean was appointed as Corporate Manager in 2017. He has over 30 years’ experience in the Financial Services Sector and his experience includes working as a Senior Bank Relationship Manager before moving into a variety of commercial and leadership sales roles in Invoice Finance. For the past 15 years, he has specialised in the structuring and providing of clients with the appropriate Invoice Finance, ABL and Factoring facilities across a range of different sectors. At every opportunity, Sean looks to add true value to potential clients whilst ensuring a seamless process from start to finish.

Andrew Darling

Andrew has over 27 years' experience in the financial industry including asset finance and banking, and is experienced in writing larger, more complicated deals. Andrew manages all invoice finance requirements and any trade or working capital requirements.

Tony Clampin

Tony has over 30 years' experience in the finance sector including six plus years in invoice finance. UK Finance (ABFA) Certificated, Tony's experience ranges from invoice discounting, factoring, trade finance, asset-based lending, FX facilities, re-finance and commercial mortgages, to turnaround transactions and acquisitions. Tony's role focusses on providing working capital solutions for the SME market.

Ronnie was appointed as Corporate Manager in 2017 to support the ongoing investment in our Corporate ABL offering. His key focus is to increase the awareness of our ABL capabilities in the Scottish market and build on the corporate team’s success over the last few years. Ronnie is an experienced lender who is able to consistently structure the best facilities to meet the customers working capital needs, reduce risks and ultimately support their growth ambitions. Having operated in the local market for most of his career, he is also able to use his extensive network to assist clients when the need arises.

Jonathan Myerscough

Jon was appointed as Corporate Manager in 2017, bringing a wealth of Asset Based Lending experience to an already successful team. Following six years in Financial and Management Accounting, Jon has worked in ABL for sixteen years in both operational and new business roles. His ABL career began as an Auditor/Surveyor for RBS Invoice Finance, moving into Business Development after three years in role. In 2006 he joined Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance where he enjoyed over eight successful years providing working capital solutions to the SME market; before joining Aldermore Bank in 2015. Jon’s dedication to success is based on his unwavering commitment to putting the client first and ensuring the best possible outcome for all parties.

Simon's 17 years' experience includes 14 years as a Client Manager with different independent providers and 3 years in sales with Bibby Financial Services. FDA Certificated and with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies, Simon supports and assists the Corporate Managers including involvement from initial contact with the prospects and constant liaison with them to ensure a good flow of communication as well as regular contact with the underwriting team to ensure quick response to outstanding queries and smooth progression of deals.

Rachel is an Assistant Corporate Manager covering our Southern region. Since joining BFS in 2016, Rachel spent time within the North London Commercial team before joining the corporate line-up. Rachel has experience in structuring deals of all sizes from the very small Forward Finance, perfect for start-up enterprises, right up to comprehensive multifaceted Asset Based Lending offerings, which cater for more complex businesses looking for a bespoke tailored solution. Rachel works closely with a wide network of accountants, brokers and intermediaries, to provide a variety of specialist invoice finance offerings where the core product is generally based upon an advance against a debtor ledger.

Lauren Kenyon

Lauren spent a year in operations before joining the new business team two years ago to support the central region for both the commercial and corporate teams. Her role focusses on facilitating tailored funding solutions to a wide range of clients alongside the corporate managers.  This includes sourcing new business, assisting with prospect meetings, liaising with underwriters and ensuring the take on process is as smooth as possible.
